Arvest is pleased to announce a new benefit that will enhance our reputation as a nationally recognized employer of choice.
Now in effect, Arvest’s 12-week paid parental leave policy is designed to provide additional support to associates with newborn or newly adopted children, promote greater work-life balance and reinforce our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The purpose of this leave is to allow associates, their spouses and their domestic partners the time needed to care for – and connect with – a newborn or newly adopted child.
Associates with a minimum of one year of employment at Arvest are immediately eligible for 12 weeks of parental leave, compensated at 100 percent of their base pay. Associates may take the leave all at once or break it up, allowing them to maximize and fairly arrange childcare time with their partner. Additionally, this new benefit will reduce the need for depleting accrued paid time off after the birth or adoption of a child.
“A commitment to associate wellbeing is at the heart of Arvest culture and parental support is a way to encourage better bonding between associates and their children,” Arvest Chief People Officer Laura Andress said. “We believe paid parental leave can help create a less stressful experience when returning to work and our research showed that having adequate time to connect with children after birth or adoption makes parents more likely to return to the workplace.
“We also understand many job seekers give strong consideration to benefits like paid parental leave when looking for career opportunities.”
