Arvest Bank is pleased to announce we have added two associates to Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Officer LaTricia Hill-Chandler’s team.
Rhonda Justice has been chosen to serve as diversity and inclusion program manager, while Shana Yarberry serves as diversity, inclusion and affirmative action manager.
Justice has eight years of D&I experience, most recently working for Walmart Stores Inc. as a senior manager. In that role, she led the implementation of Associate Resource Groups, managed large-scale inclusion forums, and created and facilitated values-based decision-making training for all Walmart associates.
Additionally, Justice led efforts to close gaps in recruiting, mentorship and community outreach. As a result of these and other efforts, Walmart made DiversityInc’s “Top 50 Companies for Diversity” list for the first time in 12 years. Walmart ranked No. 34.
“I am so excited to have Rhonda join me on the D&I journey with our People Team and Arvest,” Hill-Chandler said. “Her creativity, strategic thinking, and innovative storytelling expertise is a great addition to this initiative. Rhonda understands the importance of our business case: mirroring our associates with the customers and communities we serve and where we live. She also knows a thing or two about creating, implementing and managing effective impact groups.”
In her role at Arvest, Justice is responsible for supporting our teams and leaders in the achievement of their diversity and inclusion goals by managing Advocacy Group programs, other assigned internal programs, new initiatives and community partnerships.
Prior to joining Walmart, Justice spent 20 years as a producer, lead investigative reporter and evening anchor for TV stations throughout the Arvest footprint. As such, she interviewed people from all walks of life, from sitting presidents to death-row inmates. Justice now relates and applies that same knack for communicating and storytelling in her D&I work.
An Oklahoma native, Justice earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Oklahoma State University. She supports charity efforts around breast cancer and Alzheimer’s awareness and people living with disabilities, as well as a project focused on those who have been wrongfully incarcerated.
Justice lives in Bentonville with her son and daughter.
Yarberry is a Little Rock native with more than 10 years of experience in human resources – both the public and private sectors. Her previous employers include Cardinal Health, Southwest EAP and STARTEK.
At the latter, Yarberry strategically partnered with businesses to recruit, train and retain a motivated, high-performing workforce. Her areas of expertise include onboarding, training and development, talent and performance management, employee retention, D&I initiatives and employee relations.
In her role at Arvest, Yarberry is responsible for managing the Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Office of Federal Contract Compliance programs regulations, consulting and partnering with talent acquisition, compensation, and human resource information systems teams to evaluate employment data and human resources practices. Additionally, she serves as a consultant with the D&I team and human resources managers to understand areas of opportunity to effectively build and align short-term and long-term strategies and tactics to deliver enterprise and business results.

Yarberry earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Women’s University, and master’s degree in human resource management from Webster University. She is currently working on a doctorate in human resource workforce development education at the University of Arkansas.
A member of the Central Arkansas Human Resources Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, Junior League of Little Rock and the Chi Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Yarberry also holds the Professional in Human Resources® certification.
