Arvest is proud to announce a new policy to support active military associates who are called out to active duty or training within the United States military, including the National Guard and Reserve of the Armed Forces. The new Arvest Military Leave Policy will extend paid time off to associates who could be subjected to an impact in pay when taking leave for training or when deployed.
The new policy provides up to 30 days of short-term activation/training paid military leave and long-term activation support of up to 12 months paid military leave for associates called to deployment.
The need for an updated policy was identified through the work of ArVets – an Arvest Associate Impact Group. ArVets members gathered associate data and partnered with various business units within the organization to help propose a new policy in support of active members, which was ultimately adopted into the 2024 Arvest Handbook.
“The relentless focus and advocacy the ArVets members put into this initiative is a clear depiction of the power of our ability to drive inclusion in all we do,” said Cinthya Allen, Arvest Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. “We are proud to support our military community, and it’s important that as an organization, we do that by listening and taking meaningful action that helps create more opportunities for long-term career growth of Arvest active military associates.”
The new policy takes effect January 1, 2024.
