Children in the Van Buren area will benefit from a $3,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

The gift was announced recently at the Hope Academy of Van Buren. Kenzie White, Ben Boerjan, Daniel Skipper and Chris Barnes of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check.

With the donation, the academy will be able to stock the clothes closet with more clothes and toiletries. Also, Hope Academy will be able to purchase new furniture for its on-site recreational room.

“The funds given by organizations like the Arvest Foundation in the community allow me to share hope and bless children,” said Karen Beckner, director of Hope Academy of Van Buren. “We have been able to provide backpacks, jackets, garments, and other items to those in need thanks to the foundation’s support.”

“It’s such privilege to be able to contribute to such a wonderful organization that dedicates its time and resources to helping others,” White said.
