Arvest Bank is proud to recently have been presented the award for “Business of the Year” during the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism’s Annual Awards Luncheon. The event was held on Jan. 23, and Mark Larrabee, president and CEO for Arvest in Greater Kansas City, accepted the award.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

“On behalf of all of our associates throughout Greater Kansas City, I thank the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for this award,” Larrabee said. “We are honored to be recognized in this manner and thank you for allowing us to serve the Raytown community. We put a lot of time and effort into helping our customers find the products and services that best meet their needs, and this award is a tangible reflection of that effort.

“I think it’s also a reflection of our commitment to the communities we serve. In Raytown, specifically, there may be no better example of that than Rene Purtee. She has long represented Arvest’s dedication to being active and involved in making our communities better places to live, work and play.”

Purtee is a business banker in Greater Kansas City and a native of Raytown. She has served in numerous capacities for the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, including six years as a member of its board of trustees and three years as an officer, and was named its “Person of the Year” in 2014.

Arvest also extends our congratulations to this year’s other winners.
