Norman Public Schools students will benefit from a $5,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

The gift was announced recently at the Norman Public School Foundation office. Arvest executive vice president Rocky Williams was on hand to present the check to Alesha Leemaster, executive director for the Norman Public Schools Foundation.

The donation will assist the foundation in continuing to provide enhancements to classroom environments and empowering teachers to be creative and innovative as they create engaging lessons.

“We are so appreciative of the Arvest Foundation’s generous contribution to the Norman Public School Foundation,” Leemaster said. “These funds will make a significant difference in classrooms across the community as we provide innovative instructional materials for teachers to bring engaging lessons to life for students. Community partners like the Arvest Foundation are pivotal in our mission to enhance the educational experience for Norman students and we are grateful for their ongoing support.”

The Arvest Foundation seeks to provide funding to grantees who are actively working to create positive change for others and K-12 education is an area of major focus.

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support the education of students within Norman Public Schools,” Williams said. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the Norman area and we trust it demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to the future of the community.”
