Foster kids in the Fort Smith, Ark., area will benefit from a $3,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

The gift was announced recently at the Junior League of Fort Smith’s office. Maggie Henson, Private Banker at Arvest Bank, was on hand to present the check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation.

“The Junior League of Fort Smith would like to thank the Arvest Foundation for the generous grant received in the amount of $3,000,” said Kayla Anthony, Junior League community impact vice president. “This grant will allow us to continue our annual scholarship donation. The Junior League of Fort Smith Scholarship will be awarded to local foster youth who have demonstrated academic promise and have been accepted into a college, university or technical program.”

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to the Junior League of Fort Smith,” Henson said. “The work that this organization does promotes amazing volunteers in our community and gives foster children resources to be successful in the future. Junior League members continue to make such a positive impact in the River Valley area!”
