The town of Gillham, Ark., will benefit from a $5,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced recently at the Gillham Volunteer Fire Department. Patti Boone and Helga Buenrrostro of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check to Gillham Volunteer Fire Department chief Marc Rosson.
“On behalf of the Gillham Volunteer Fire Department we would like to thank the Arvest Foundation for their donation of $5,000,” said Rosson. “The donation will be used to purchase saws used in rescue and ventilation while fighting fires. Scene lights used to illuminate a fire or accident scene and sine wave inverters to operate and charge tools will also be purchased. We appreciate this donation from the Arvest Foundation, as this year has been a tough year to raise money for the fire department.”
“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support the Gillham Volunteer Fire Department in an effort to provide them with the equipment needed to help their department be better-suited to fight fires,” said Buenrrostro. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to help support our community.”
