Faced with ongoing fundraising challenges due to the lingering effects of COVID-19, the Bull Shoals (Ark.) Fire Department Auxiliary has received a boost in the form of a $5,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

The funds will be used to supplement the Bull Shoals Fire Department Auxiliary’s operating funds.

“We can’t thank the Arvest Foundation enough for its support,” Bull Shoals Fire Department fire chief Brent Mitchell said. “These funds will help us address numerous needs, including some related to equipment we need to operate safely and effectively.”

David McBee, executive vice president and sales manager for Arvest Bank in North Central Arkansas, said the bank was pleased to present the grant on behalf of the Arvest Foundation.

“There are so many organizations like the Bull Shoals Fire Department that make our communities better and safer places to live, work and play,” McBee said. “We trust this grant reflects the foundation’s commitment to supporting those groups and improving the quality of life right here in our backyard.”
