Children in the city of Alma, Ark., will benefit from a $2,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

The gift was announced today at the Arvest Bank branch located in Alma. Jeremy Nuckolls, branch sales manager, and Ben Boerjan, consumer loan advisor, were on hand to present the donation to the Alma Police Department.

“Thank you so much to the Arvest Foundation for their generous donation,” said Regina Holloway, president of the Alma Police Focus Group. “This gift will help tremendously with our Shop with a Cop program this year by providing at least 25 children an opportunity to participate with this single donation. In the past, our organization has joined 100-150 children annually with local law enforcement for a Christmas shopping experience. The current pandemic has kept the Alma Police Focus Group from actively participating in most of our fundraising projects this year, so donations like this will be the lifeline to helping as many children in the community as possible.”

“Each year, the Arvest Foundation gives numerous contributions to organizations in the communities that we serve,” Boerjan said. “We are super-excited to give this donation to the Alma Police Focus Group and know that the funds will benefit children and families in the community greatly.”
