Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Shane Cowger has been named executive vice president and loan manager for the bank in Springfield, Mo.

Cowger has been with Arvest Bank for 23 years, most recently serving as sales manager in Springfield. Additionally, Cowger has held positions as sales manager for the Siloam Springs, Ark., market, community bank president in Miami, Okla., and corporate services manager in Joplin.

“Shane’s done an excellent job of leading our retail team as well as our mortgage and consumer lending teams in Springfield,” said Jason England, president and CEO for Arvest Springfield. “His leadership not only within Arvest, but the Springfield community, has been instrumental in driving the growth we’ve experienced over the last 11 years. We have built a strong, diversely skilled lending team in Springfield. With Shane’s leadership, I believe we are well-equipped to truly serve the needs of the businesses in our community.”

Cowger earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Missouri Southern State University and completed the Graduate School of Banking (GSB) at Louisiana State University.

In addition to being the current co-chair of the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities in Springfield, Cowger also serves as a board member for the Planning & Zoning Commission in Battlefield. Previously, Cowger has served as a board member for Make-A-Wish of Missouri and Kansas, served on the Board of Trustees of GSB at LSU and been an active committee member for the Missouri Banker’s Association. Cowger and his wife, Toni, have four children and live in Battlefield.
