Help us fight hunger in our community.

The charity golf tournament hosted by Arvest Bank and Genuine Care Pharmacy is set for Oct. 26 at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.

The tournament includes lunch that begins at 11 a.m. in the club house. Each entry fee includes mulligans, gifts and door prizes. Prizes for special event holes will also be awarded to men and women who are “closest to the line,” “closest to the pin,” who make “the longest putt” and who make a hole-in-one. Winners of two “pay to play” holes also will be awarded prizes.

All of the proceeds from the 23rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament are divided among area non-profit organizations that submit applications to be selected as a charity of the year. This year, the benefitting organizations are Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Baxter County; Sanctuary, Inc. of Harrison; School of New Hope, Inc.; and Serenity, a shelter for victims of domestic violence.

“This tournament has provided much-needed supplemental funding for a variety of nonprofit organizations in our area, so we hope golfers across North Central Arkansas will form a team, join us for some fun and help us support these local charities,” said Sally Gilbert, market president of Arvest Bank in Mountain Home.

The tournament is a two-person scramble with men’s or mixed teams. Entry fees are $200 per team, which includes a cart and team mulligans. To register or ask questions about the tournament, contact Tiffany Watkins with Arvest Bank at twatkins@arvest.com.
