Help us fight hunger in our community.

The Van Buren Pointers Baseball team will benefit from a $2,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced recently at the Field of Dreams in Van Buren. Kenzie White, Kaytlann Barnes, Chris Barnes, Daniel Skipper and Ben Boerjan of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check.

The funds will be used to replace and repair equipment that was damaged from flooding earlier this year.

“We’re thankful for the support from Arvest,” said Drew Cone, activities administrator for the Van Buren School District. “With the money, we’ll be able to buy and repair some equipment that was damaged by flooding this year.”

“We are excited to be a part of the reconstruction of the indoor baseball facility and replacement of baseball equipment,” White said. “This is just one of the many ways that Arvest is able to support the communities that we live and serve in.”
