Never stop learning. This mantra has guided me throughout my career and is one I share often. I am fortunate that Arvest is an employer who deeply values this.

It’s important for companies and employees to remain competitive in their industry. We cannot ignore the shift in technological advancements, economic changes, and evolving social and cultural trends. Upskilling is vital to staying competitive.

The Associate Learning Journey

In 2023, Arvest launched the me@Arvest program centered around our long-term vision and strategy to establish a foundation grounded on associate growth, development, and skills. This learning journey features a training roadmap designed to develop and enhance our associate’s skills and knowledge while at the same time allowing them to learn new technologies or further their education. It’s about supporting our teams where they are now while also preparing them for the jobs of the future.

Me@Arvest connects associates with different learning resources, certifications, and projects. The program starts with a skills assessment, which involves a self-review of core competencies and skills. This can help managers calibrate and align associate skill declarations and assign learning journeys. These job-based learning journeys are tailored to the individual based on areas of interest and opportunities for growth.

Initiatives like me@Arvest allow associates to develop and practice these new areas of expertise, giving them the tools needed to build and sustain a fulfilling career while making a unique impact on our company. As associates transform themselves, Arvest can also transform the experiences we deliver to our customers, positively impacting the communities we serve while helping transform the banking industry.

Me@Arvest takes training and education to a new level – it’s a big initiative. We continue to roll out the program, with plans to have all associates started on their learning journeys by 2026.

Unlocking New Avenues with LinkedIn Learning

Our commitment to providing growth opportunities for our associates continues, as we have expanded our partnership with LinkedIn to allow every Arvest associate access to LinkedIn Learning.

LinkedIn Learning is a valuable resource that complements and enhances the me@Arvest program, giving associates another avenue to continue learning, growing, and developing their professional skills and knowledge.

By adopting LinkedIn Learning, associates will have additional opportunities to prepare for their future. There is more to continuing education than we might realize. By 2030, at least 65% of the skills the workforce has today will need to be replaced or updated, according to a 2023 Future of Work Report by LinkedIn. Now more than ever, it is important for us to challenge ourselves in personal development. It will help build confidence and knowledge and allow us to adapt to an ever-changing workplace.

With LinkedIn Learning, Arvest joins the ranks of competitive companies worldwide. We are in good company: 80% of Fortune 500 companies use LinkedIn Learning to develop their employees and rely on its world-class content to guide, develop, and connect members of the modern workforce.

Obtaining a LinkedIn Learning license is important for our company, and we are celebrating it. Our industry and its practices are evolving, and we need to adapt to meet future needs. We’re excited to begin offering these resources to our associates as we continue our journey to ensure everyone at Arvest feels empowered to learn, develop, and grow.
