SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Arvest Bank of Springfield is pleased to announce that Brad Crain has been named president of the bank effective June 2. Crain is replacing Rodney Shepard who was recently named president of Arvest Bank in Fort Smith, AR.
Crain was previously executive vice president of Arvest Bank and director of sales for Arvest Asset Management as well as a director of the Investment Management Group of Arvest. He has been with Arvest since 2006 overseeing investment sales initiatives in Kansas City and throughout the state of Oklahoma.
“Brad brings a broad level of knowledge, experience and energy to this position. His passion for serving customers and the community will be invaluable to our continued growth in the Springfield area,” said Scott Grigsby, regional president for Arvest. “Brad is excited to lead our efforts here and to begin working hard to make a positive difference in the communities we serve.”
Prior to joining Arvest, Crain was a senior vice president for SunTrust Bank in Atlanta, Georgia where he managed a group of 32 relationship and portfolio managers serving more than 350 non-profit organizations with assets in excess of $24 billion.

A native of Glenwood, AR, Crain graduated cum laude from Hendrix College. He is a certified wealth strategist and holds several securities licenses from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
He has been very active in community organizations having served as a founding board member of the YMCA of Northwest Arkansas and on the Planned Gift Committee of Legacy Village, a non-profit assisted living facility. Crain is also a former alderman for the city of Bentonville as well as a board member for the Bentonville Convention & Visitors Bureau. He has been a member of several other boards including the Boys & Girls Club of Bartlesville, Hendrix College Alumni and the Benton County Sunshine School. Crain also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
Brad and his wife, Jeannette, have three children, Sam, Owen and Maggie.
