Arvest has been named to the 2023 Forbes list of America’s Best-in-State Employers for Arkansas (#7) and Oklahoma (#22). It is the fourth consecutive year the bank has been awarded the distinction in Arkansas and the second time in Oklahoma.
The prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. America’s Best-in-State Employers 2023 were identified based on 2.1 million employer recommendations from employees working for companies with more than 500 employees in the United States. Employees were asked to give their opinions on a series of statements surrounding work-related topics of e.g. working conditions, diversity, salary, potential for development, and company image regarding their current employer.
“When associates feel valued, they become highly engaged in their work and are driven to provide their best for their team, organization and customers,” said Laura Andress, Arvest Chief People Officer. “Our associates drive our growth and success and are essential to providing customers with excellent products and services across our footprint and beyond. It’s an honor to once again be recognized as an employer committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment that supports the wellbeing of our associates.”
The evaluation was made on a state-by-state basis and is based on three distinct criteria: in-state indirect recommendations, national in-industry indirect recommendations and direct recommendations. The recommended employers have been grouped into one of the 25 industry sectors. Employers with operations in more than one state were ranked in multiple states.
Arvest has appeared on the Arkansas list since 2020, achieving its highest ranking this year at #7. The bank previously made the Oklahoma list in 2021.
The award list was announced on August 22, 2023, and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website.
