The Vinita Fire Department got a boost in its efforts to purchase a new pumper truck via a $2,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced recently, and Arvest Bank associates Jordi Reiger and Donna Derosia were on hand to present the check to Vinita Fire Department chief Kevin Huxtable.
“I would really like to thank the Arvest Foundation for helping us in this way,” Huxtable said. “Grants like this help out our department tremendously, enable us to keep up with the high demands of the job, and continue to provide a great service to our community and citizens.”
“We appreciate the hard work of these firefighters and the sacrifices they make,” Derosia said. “We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation. “It is just one of many we have made throughout the area, and we trust it demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to our community.”
