The City of Van Buren, Ark., will benefit from a $6,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced at the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce office. Christopher Barnes and Kenzie White of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check to the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce staff.
The grant will help pay for a financial expert to lead focus groups, steering committees, and stakeholder meetings to gather data to better understand the economic needs of the community.
“We are so grateful to the Arvest Foundation for its generosity and partnership,” said Julie Murray, president and CEO of the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce. “This grant will support the efforts to further the economic development and advancement of Van Buren. This is such an exciting time for our community, with significant new investments happening, and we are thrilled with this opportunity to be able to contribute to the growth of our area.”
“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to the Van Buren Community Development Organization,” said Barnes, branch sales manager at Arvest Bank. “We are excited to have this opportunity to support the future of Van Buren and its residents. This is just one of many ways the foundation continues to support the communities that we serve.”
