Scott County Emergency Services’ newly formed emergency response unit will be better-equipped thanks to a $3,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced recently when Arvest Bank representatives Keith Slater, Alyvia Self and Shelley Buckles presented a check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to county fire chief Keaton Davis. The funds will be used to purchase equipment for the county’s emergency response unit.
“We want to give a big thank-you to the Arvest Foundation for this generous grant,” Davis said. “These funds are vital to the success of our emergency response unit and another example of all the ways the foundation helps our community.”
Scott County Emergency Services acts as the lead agency in Waldron, Ark., and works with other federal, state and county agencies when threats to public safety arise.
“We were pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to help equip the new emergency response unit,” Buckles said. “This donation is just one of many that have been made throughout the area and we appreciate the foundation’s ongoing support for our community.”
