Patrons of the Paris (Ark.) Christian Center food pantry will benefit from a $4,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced recently at the Paris Christian Center and Arvest Bank branch manager Heather Appleton was on hand to present the donation. The funds will be used to purchase a freezer, shelving and supplies to expand the community food pantry.
“We are using these grant funds to remodel one of our rooms in the church for our dry foods pantry,” Paris Christian Center pastor Kellie Kitson said. “We will be purchasing tons of shelving units, supplies for our meal programs, and new refrigeration and freezers. All of these purchases are essential to continue and enlarge our feeding programs in Logan County. We are so grateful for this grant.”
“We were very excited to present this donation on behalf the Arvest Foundation to the First Christian Center for their feeding program,” Appleton said. “We are very thankful for their commitment to providing fresh hot meals on Monday evenings within our local community.”
