Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Melinda Moss has joined its local board of directors in Joplin, Mo.
Moss is superintendent for Joplin Schools, a position she has held since 2016. Moss has 27 years of educational experience, including more than seven spent as the superintendent for Harrison (Ark.) School District. She also taught special education in Republic, served as a guidance counselor at Spokane and Springfield and was middle school principal in Reeds Spring.

Moss earned a bachelor’s degree in in finance and banking from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in guidance and counseling – as well as special education certification – from Missouri State University. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Saint Louis University.
Moss and her husband, Greg, live in Joplin. They have two adult sons and one grandson.
