Visitors to Caney City Park may notice a new feature thanks to a $6,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced recently, when Arvest Bank branch manager Sandy Burns presented a check to city council member Dan Johnston, city clerk Debbie Morrison and city administrator Fred Gress.
The funds were used to purchase a new swing set, which already has been installed and is in use.
“The Arvest Foundation’s generosity allowed us to make a much-needed addition to the park, and it’s been great to see kids already playing on the swing set,” Gress said.
“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support our local park,” Burns said. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area, and we hope it reflects the foundation’s ongoing commitment to make this a better place to live, work, and especially in this case, play.”
