During Small Business Week, April 30-May 6, we highlighted some of our small business customers and the owners behind them. These entrepreneurs represent the drive and tenacity it takes to be a successful small business.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and empower communities in various ways. According to an April 2022 report by the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy, small businesses generated 12.9 million net new jobs in the last 25 years, which accounted for two out of every three jobs added during that timeframe. Small businesses are not only creating jobs for themselves, but they’re also likely to create new jobs by keeping revenue within their local community by using other small businesses as suppliers.
