Arvest Bank invites its customers and community members alike to an event to honor former community bank president Chris Clark. The event will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Sept. 1, at the Arvest branch located at 201 N. Broadway, Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Helping customers save on family fun.

Clark retired effective June 1, 2021, but COVID-related circumstances prevented a proper send-off. Light refreshments will be served at the Sept. 1 event and Arvest will honor Clark by naming it the Chris Clark Conference Room.

“As I’ve said before, Chris embodied the Arvest culture throughout his career,” said Ron Witherspoon, local bank president for Arvest in Oklahoma City. “He combined hard work and determination with an optimism that endeared him to all of us. This is a much-deserved honor.”

Clark, who joined Arvest in 1999, continues to serve on its local board of advisors. Some of his other civic endeavors included serving as a board member for the Shawnee Family YMCA, the Shawnee Economic Development Foundation, Salvation Army and United Way.
