Arvest Bank is excited to announce a grand opening event at its new branch in Lawton, Oklahoma. The event is scheduled for Friday, February 14 from 12-2 p.m. at the branch located at 2602 W Gore Blvd.
This branch is replacing the old branch which was located at 2622 W Gore Blvd. The previous branch was the first Arvest branch in Southwest Oklahoma, opening in 2000.
“The original Gore Branch was the inception of Arvest offering full-service banking in the Lawton community. I have very fond memories of Ed and Lenora Hamra, the owners of the property at the time. They were a true joy to work with and one of our first customers,” David Madigan, President and CEO of Arvest Bank Southwest Oklahoma said. “The new branch is awesome. The site is enormous and very convenient for customers to maneuver through the property whether using the drive-up ATM, commercial drive-in or night depository box.”
The event will feature a performance from the Cameron University Centennial Singers, the Cameron ROTC raising the American flag and some members of the Cameron Spirit Team will be on hand for photos. The festivities include hors d’oeuvres, a photo booth, giveaways and a drawing for dinner and a movie for two. Arvest will be donating $500 to each of the three Cameron groups.
This grand opening is the conclusion of a process that began in April 2018.
“I often reflect back on our start in Lawton. It was a humbling and unique experience. I would definitely do it over again, especially as it created wonderful community bankers and friends in Gloria Martinez, Michelle Ramsey, Pat Kendall and Larry Benson, to name a few. They were some of the first associates who worked for Arvest,” Madigan said.
