Arvest Bank is pleased to once again present “Money Matters,” a seven-week financial education series that is underway and running through Oct. 24.

Helping customers save on family fun.

Classes are held each Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Saint Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark, and are free and open to the public. Register by texting “MONEY” to (501) 299-9009. The sessions also can be viewed via Saint Mark Baptist Church’s YouTube page.

The classes are designed to help participants improve their personal finances.

“I am so inspired by your teachings,” said Angel, a former class participant. “I thought I was doing pretty well handling my finances, but the instructors went above and beyond anything I already knew. I can’t thank you enough or express how wonderful the class is.”

Here is a look at upcoming sessions:

  • Monday, Oct. 3: Personal Finances – Understand your personal credit profile, credit reports and credit scores, along with a look at some banking tools and business credit opportunities. Presented by Marcus Guinn, loan manager for Arvest in Little Rock., Ark.
  • Monday, Oct. 10: Real Estate and Estate Planning – Explore the process and benefits of owning real estate and review the need for estate planning.
  • Monday, Oct. 17: Insurance and Retirement Planning – Understand how to assess benefit needs and assess different types of insurance plans, as well as some principles around retirement planning.
  • Monday, Oct. 24: Investments – Explore investment tools that are at your fingertips, and how and why to keep them close.
