Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Aaron Burkes has joined its local board of directors in Benton County.
Burkes is CEO of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority, a position he took in 2018 after three-plus years as president of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He also is a member of the Transportation Industry Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Burkes, who represented eastern Benton County in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2007-2009, also served on Arvest’s local board of directors in Lowell from 2004-2010.
“We are thrilled to add Aaron to our board,” said Craig Rivaldo, Arvest president for Benton County. “His varied background and expertise in business, finance and public service, among other sectors, will be invaluable to us. There is no doubt Aaron will be a strong part of our team.”
Burkes earned a bachelor’s degree in natural science from the University of Arkansas, a master’s degree in economics from Clemson University and a law degree at Baylor University. Burkes and his wife, Rebecca, live in Bethel Heights. They have two college-age sons.
