Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Doug Heck has been named executive director of its consumer lending division.
Heck, who has more than 23 years of industry experience, has served in a variety of roles during his 13 years at Arvest. In his new role as executive director of the bank’s consumer lending division, Heck will oversee consumer loan underwriting and processing, product management, and systems/technology management.
Specifically, Heck will look for ways to create products, improve efficiencies, and enhance technologies that make it easier for Arvest to meet ever-evolving customer borrowing expectations as they pertain to consumer lending.
“Doug possesses strong strategic planning and management skills,” Arvest regional executive for enhanced banking services Matt Machen said. “Those factors, coupled with his approach to everyday relationship management, make him uniquely qualified to lead our consumer lending division. He also understands the critical role consumer loans play in the lives of customers in all of the communities we serve.”
Heck earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Eastern New Mexico University. Additionally, he completed the Sam Walton Institute for Leadership program and graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
Among other civic endeavors, Heck has served as chairman of the board for High Aspirations, a member of the Kansas Bankers Association state affairs committee, den leader for Boy Scouts of America and coach for various youth sports teams.
