Waldron (Ark.) Public Schools had the opportunity to purchase a new digital sign located between Waldron Middle School and Waldron Elementary School thanks to a $24,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced earlier this year, but Arvest Bank associates Keith Slater, Debra Fuller, Alyvia Self and Shelley Buckles recently presented Waldron Public Schools staff members Daniel Fielding, Ryan Walker, Darla Jeffery, Chris Lipham and Zack Taylor with a check to commemorate the gift.

The Arvest Foundation donation that resulted in the purchase of the digital sign gives the schools the ability to post information to inform students, parents and community members of important information and activities at the schools.

“Huge Bulldog shout-out to the Arvest Foundation!” said Fielding. “Through a generous donation from the Arvest Foundation, Waldron’s middle school and elementary school have a beautiful new sign for their campus. This is a much-needed addition to our school and will make communication with parents and community members much more effective. Thank you so much for your efforts and support to our community.”

“I would like to thank the Arvest Foundation for their continued support of our local community,” said Buckles. “This donation will help the school to communicate happenings to parents and the community for many years to come.”

“We were pleased to make this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation,” said Fuller, a branch administrator for Arvest Bank. “The foundation is committed to improving education in all the communities we serve and we trust this donation reflects that.”
