The Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority recently received a $1,000 donation from Arvest Bank. The gift was announced at Arvest Equipment Finance Division’s headquarters located in the heart of the Chaffee Crossing Historical District in Fort Smith, Ark.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

Beth Presley and Danielle Rogers of Arvest Bank and Eric Bunnell, Arvest Equipment Finance president, were on hand to present the check to Lorie Robertson, director of marketing at Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority, and Regional Veterans Day Parade committee members Zach Johnson and Chris Reif.

“The committee members of the Regional Veterans Day Parade at Chaffee Crossing are extremely grateful for the Arvest sponsorship,” said Robertson. “It means a lot to area veterans to have community support for this annual event. The parade shines a bright light on the dedication, loyalty, and sacrifices of the brave men and women in the U.S. military. We are very grateful for this donation that helps make the parade possible.”

“It is especially important to be able to support the Regional Veterans Day Parade at Fort Chaffee,” said Rogers. “We all need to be reminded that our liberties often come at a cost and without our veterans, young and old, none of us would have them. It is a privilege to honor those who dedicate their lives to maintaining our freedom through the Regional Veterans Day Parade.”
