Firefighters in Dover, Ark., will benefit from a $10,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation.

Help us fight hunger in our community.

The gift was announced recently at Arvest’s West Main branch in Russellville. Tom Wolf, Shawn Bates, and Tori Barnes of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to Charles Duvall and Bryan Robinson of the Dover City Fire Department.

“The Dover City Fire Department is grateful for the generous donation of $10,000 from the Arvest Foundation,” Robinson said. “With the funds, the fire department will be able to purchase five sets of turnouts for firefighters as well as 10 pairs of firefighting gloves and 10 Nomex hoods. Without these funds, this would not be possible.”

“On behalf of the Arvest Foundation, we are pleased to present this grant to the Dover City Fire Department for the purchase of much-needed new turnouts and equipment,” said Bates. “The safety of our community residents is a top priority and we appreciate their service to the city of Dover and surrounding communities.”
